MEET DR. STELLA KIM
Oronoco Dental is a family practice that serves the community of Alexandria, Virginia, by providing comprehensive, conservative, and preventive dental care.
From dental cleanings to dental implant placement, Dr. Stella Kim provides high-quality care to help patients achieve and maintain healthy and beautiful smiles. She offers a wide range of services, including crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, and implant placement. Dr. Kim also provides cosmetic treatments like veneers and teeth whitening with KöR® products.
The Oronoco Dental office is equipped with up-to-date equipment, including diode lasers, intraoral cameras, and digital X-rays. Dr. Kim also offers platelet-rich plasma (PRP) procedures during dental surgery, dental splints for occlusal disease, and Invisalign® for orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Stella Kim grew up in Queens, New York, graduated with a degree in biology from Syracuse University, and earned her dental degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating from dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare in Utica, New York, where she expanded her scope of dentistry and refined her skills in pediatric dentistry, dental implants, and root canal therapy.
Dr. Kim completed high-level continuing education courses, such as the Dental Implant Continuum and the Live Dental Implant Training by Implant Seminars. She also completed the prestigious Dawson Academy to master harmonious occlusion and full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Kim maintains active memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
She seeks to be a personable dentist to her patients since she sees many families in her practice. Her philosophy is to offer conservative yet still comprehensive care that emphasizes a preventive approach to her patients. She is honored to inherit Dr. Peter Hanna's legacy, whose family dentistry practice has existed in Old Town, Alexandria, for over 60 years.
Dr. Kim currently lives in Fairfax, Virginia, with her husband, Nathan, whom she met in dental school. They enjoy hiking and traveling around the world. Her favorite hobbies are cooking and baking, which keeps her husband very happy.
