First, you have a consultation at Oronoco Dental with Dr. Kim. She takes an impression of your mouth to make a virtual model of your smile and uses it to determine exactly how your teeth need to move to achieve a perfect alignment.
Then, she sends that information with her prescription to the Invisalign® lab that uses it to make a series of aligners. Each aligner is modeled after a different step in the journey that your teeth take towards proper alignment. The aligners are designed to fit snugly around your teeth and gradually push them closer towards optimal positioning.
You wear your aligners between 20 to 22 hours every day and switch to the next set of aligners in your series every two weeks. Your total treatment time depends on the condition of your alignment when you start, but most patients finish their series in 12-18 months.
